Now, he has some company.
We’re excited to introduce Habitat, the newest member of the First Rate crew, along with refreshed versions of the familiar plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical characters you may have spotted around our website over the years.
As First Rate has grown, we wanted the characters representing our brand to grow with us. That meant giving T-Stat and his supporting crew a fresh new look while introducing Habitat as a brand-new personality designed to represent everything that goes into taking care of a home.
The result is a mascot family that feels more polished, expressive, and unmistakably First Rate.
A Fresh Look for the First Rate Crew
Brands evolve over time, and First Rate is no different.
For years, our website has featured a small crew of characters representing the essential services we provide—from plumbing and heating to cooling and electrical work.
Those familiar little faces have now received an upgrade.
We refreshed the original flat illustrated designs with a more dimensional, detailed style that gives each character more personality while maintaining the bright, approachable look customers have come to associate with First Rate.
At the same time, we introduced an entirely new member of the family: Habitat.
Together, the updated characters give us a fun new way to represent the people, services, and systems that keep a home comfortable, functional, and safe.
Meet T-Stat
T-Stat has long been one of the most recognizable faces of the First Rate brand.
His design brings heating and cooling together in one character, combining the familiar imagery of fire and ice with the tools and personality of a First Rate technician.
The redesigned T-Stat keeps everything that made the original character recognizable while adding more detail, dimension, and expression.
He’s still the T-Stat longtime customers know—just ready for the next chapter of First Rate.
Meet Habitat
Habitat is brand-new to the First Rate crew.
With her bright blue coloring and unmistakable cool-weather personality, Habitat brings another friendly face to the First Rate family and helps us tell a bigger story about what home comfort really means.
A home is more than just an air conditioner, furnace, plumbing system, or electrical panel. All of those systems work together to create the environment where families live their everyday lives.
That’s the idea behind Habitat.
Alongside T-Stat, he represents First Rate’s commitment to taking care of the entire home—not just one piece of it.
And Don’t Forget Their Little Buddies
T-Stat and Habitat aren’t the only characters getting an upgrade.
The plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical mascots that have appeared throughout the First Rate website have also been refreshed with updated designs.
Each one represents a different part of the First Rate service family:

A Brand-New First Rate Website Is Coming Soon
The mascot refresh is just one part of a much bigger update coming to First Rate.
At the end of October, we’ll be launching a completely redesigned First Rate Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electric website built to make it easier for homeowners to find the information and services they need.
The new website will feature an updated look and feel that matches the refreshed First Rate brand, along with improved navigation, clearer service information, and a better experience across phones, tablets, and desktop computers.
You’ll also see T-Stat, Habitat, and the rest of the First Rate mascot crew appearing throughout the new site as they help guide homeowners through our plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, and home comfort services.
More importantly, the redesign is focused on making it simpler to get help when you need it. Whether you’re researching a new HVAC system, dealing with a plumbing problem, looking for an electrician, checking current specials, or scheduling service, the new website will make it easier to connect with the First Rate team.
The new site is scheduled to launch at the end of October, so keep an eye out for a completely refreshed First Rate online experience to go along with our newly redesigned crew.
